Ken McFarlandFor more than 16 years, Ken McFarland has provided catalytic strategic insight, change management leadership, organizational learning and executive development counsel to premier organizations in the U.S. and abroad. Ken's executive leadership with Fortune 100 companies and technology start-ups has provided him the unique perspective of offering consulting insight with an eye for executive sensibilities and organizational execution.

As a mid-twenties vice president of a $400MM technology company, Ken's work-life was fundamentally redefined with the publication of Peter Senge's The Fifth Discipline. Senge's work - along with synchronic publications from Stephen Covey, Gary Hamel, Charles Handy, and C.K. Prahalad - led Ken to create a strategic advisory and organizational development consulting firm that provided insight and inspiration to leading companies including Walt Disney-Buena Vista, Bank of America, NCR, Cigna Healthcare, and many others.

In addition to his consulting experience, Ken has also held Chief Operations Officer posts with two technology start-ups with global operations. It was during those assignments that Ken was able to develop many of the organizational learning and high-performance execution programs that that he brings to AMCA.

Serving as an Of-counsel Principal for AMCA, Ken provides leadership for the Crisis Management and Conflict Resolution services of AMCA. His concepts for "creating in crisis" were inspired from his tenure as President & CEO for Manna International - an international relief and development NGO. In what was truly a "following of the heart", Ken spent 5 years directing Manna's emergency and relief operations in countries like Haiti, Ethiopia, Croatia, Ghana, and Rwanda.

A life-long student of the human spirit, Ken easily unifies his diverse experiences and career paths. "Organizations, like individuals, thrive on sharing their life's purpose with others. That purpose is the strength and resilience that unearths talent and releases creativity to spur growth and command crisis."
