Glen BoundsAMCA is proud to welcome Dr. Glen Bounds as our Senior Advisor on Quality. We have had a long association with Dr. Bounds, who began his career with DCCCD as instructor at El Centro in 1969; subsequently, he was one of the first administrators at Mountain View College and later served as the founding Vice President of Instruction at North Lake College, where he and Dr. Ann McGee-Cooper first partnered on creative projects. He became Interim Vice President of Instruction at El Centro College and then was named Provost (later changed to President) of the Bill Priest Institute prior to the building’s opening in December 1988.

Dr. Bounds retired in 2005, and recently, the Quality Texas’ Board of Directors unanimously approved Glen as Chair-Elect to the Board. He has been a strong advocate of the Texas Award for Performance Excellence, having led his organization through the Baldrige journey to be named a 2002 recipient of the Texas Award for Performance Excellence. Dr. Bounds currently serves on the Board of Directors as Vice-Chair and will begin his term as Chair in September 2007.

Glen will serve AMCA team in their pursuit of excellence and extraordinary Customer service. We are in the process of pursuing various projects together to enhance our servant leadership work in the Dallas area. Initially we are partnering with Dr. Ron Anderson and Dr. Jacqualene Stephens of Parkland Health and Hospital System to nurture and expand a synergistic community of servant-leaders within the healthcare community.
